It addresses activities involving tribes, tribal consultation practices, culturally sensitive information, and recording consultation results. It also defines organizational roles and responsibilities and includes annual reporting requirements.
Applies to: This publication applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force (RegAF), the U.S. Space Force (USSF), Air Force Reserve (AFRC), Air National Guard (ANG), and those with contractual obligations to abide by the terms of Department of Air Force (DAF) issuances.
While supporting the intent of this Instruction, ANG units may prepare appropriate policy, supplement, guidance, and/or procedural documents reflecting their unique legal status, resources, and structure as circumstances dictate.
ANG units will route any unique documentation to the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) of this publication for coordination.
Submit waiver requests through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the publication OPR for non-tiered compliance items.
