DAFI36-3026V1 addresses ID cards for members, eligible family members, and other eligible personnel, including DEERS and RAPIDS processing. It requires compliance with procedures for identity documents, eligibility, card expiration, and prisoner of war identification.
Applies to: This instruction applies to Regular Air Force (RegAF), USSF, Air Force Reserve (AFR), and Air National Guard (ANG) personnel, except where noted otherwise.
The photo ID requirement cannot be waived. (paragraph 4)
An unremarried former spouse who at the time of divorce was married to the member for 20 years during which time the member performed 20 years creditable service in determining eligibility to retired or retainer pay, and the marriage and service overlapped at least 15 years but less than 20. (paragraph 90-161)
Sponsor certifies on DD Form 1172-2 in block 21 he or she is providing over 50 percent and that the child resides in the household or household maintained by the sponsor. (paragraph 4)
After initial 30-month issue period, reissue card for 30 months. (paragraph 4)
If member is not eligible for Medicare, Part A at the end of the first 30-month period, reissue the card at 1-year intervals for a maximum of 5 years from the date the member was placed on the TDRL. (paragraph 4)
