DAFI36-3009 addresses family support, personal and work life services, volunteer Key Support Liaisons, and mandatory financial training. It requires unit commanders to establish and support the Commander’s Key Support Program and requires Key Support Liaisons to complete initial training before volunteer duties.
Applies to: Unless otherwise stated, this guidance memorandum is applicable to the Regular Air Force, United States Space Force (USSF), Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard.
In accordance with DoDI 1322.34, paragraph 2.9.c, and paragraph 2.6 of this DAFI, unit commanders will ensure assigned unit members complete mandatory touchpoint training when notified of a requirement to complete a specific mandatory touchpoint and within time limits prescribed.
The Commander’s Key Support Program (CKSP) is a commander's program to enhance the communication flow from leadership to unit family members.
KSLs may not represent the DAF or unit to non-Federal entities and other governmental agencies.
KSLs must complete initial CKSP training prior to the commencement of volunteer duties.
Units with less than 25 permanently assigned active duty members may obtain KSL support from another installation unit that has an established CKSP.
