DAFI36-2910 establishes requirements for LOD findings, medical continuation, and INCAP Pay administration. It addresses processing timelines, reviews, documentation, military duty, civilian income, and termination of INCAP Pay.
Applies to: This publication applies to the entire DAF, including all uniformed members of the Regular Air Force (RegAF), United States Space Force (USSF) Air Force Reserve (AFR) and Air National Guard (ANG) serving under provisions of Title 10 United States Code (USC) or full-time under Title 32 USC.
For members who were able to perform military duty, the member no longer experiences a loss of civilian earned income as a result of the LOD condition. (T-0). (paragraph 3)
Voluntary leave of absence, voluntary (resignation), and involuntary termination (due to negative performance, etc.) of employment from civilian employment does not constitute a loss of civilian earned income that qualifies under this program. (T-1). (paragraph 3)
The member fails to fully participate in treatment or provide current/sufficient medical and financial documentation as required for INCAP Pay eligibility; (T-1). (paragraph 3)
Processing timeline resets when an INCAP Pay package is returned due to missing required or outdated documentation. (paragraph 3)
