The publication addresses watch cap wear, designated “No Hat” areas, fitness center attire, and dining facility dress codes. It requires specific clothing, footwear, and uniform combinations in fitness and dining facilities and prohibits listed garments and headgear.
Applies to: This supplement applies to all uniformed members of the Regular Air Force assigned to JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, JBSA-Lackland, JBSA-Randolph, or JBSA Camp Bullis.
Authorized from 1 November – 31 March or as extended by the installation commander.
Athletic attire and athletic-type shoes will be worn in all activity and equipment areas.
Only court shoes with non-marking soles will be worn on hardwood floors; boots are not authorized on treadmills or hardwood floors.
Due to safety concerns (including an increased risk of dehydration and heat illness), garments made of plastic, rubber, nylon, etc., that are specifically designed to increase the amount of perspiration, are not authorized in any fitness facility, to include outdoor running tracks and fields.
Headgear, du-rag/wave caps, sleeveless shirts, and pajama bottoms are prohibited.
