Handheld electronic devices, if worn on the belt/waistband or clipped to a purse, will be plain black, silver, dark blue, or gray.

When are headphones and earphones authorized while in uniform?

Headphones and earphones are authorized while in the fitness center or on designated running areas unless prohibited by the Installation Commander.

Are black combat boots authorized with the utility uniform at Joint Base Charleston?

The wear of black combat boots with the utility uniform on JB CHS is not authorized.

When may commanders authorize dark blue shorts for 2X-Series AFSCs?

Commanders of Airmen in these AFSCs may authorize wear of dark blue shorts in lieu of the OCP trousers in industrial areas, such as the flight line, hangars, warehouses, or dock areas outside of climate-controlled environments and when the ambient high temperature is forecast to meet or exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
