DAFI36-2688 covers CCAF roles, education services responsibilities, affiliated-school oversight, academic programs, and accreditation. It requires CCAF to support associate degrees, professional certificates, academic and military credit documentation, and mission readiness.
Applies to: This publication applies to DAF civilian employees and uniformed members of the United States Space Force, the Regular Air Force (RegAF), the Air Force Reserve, and the Air National Guard.
In accordance with (IAW) DoDI 1322.25, Voluntary Education Programs, the DAF will continue to use the CCAF to document its members’ academic and military credit in lieu of the joint service transcript.
The AU/CC is the CCAF governing authority and confers degrees upon CCAF graduates.
Establishes policies to include academic programs, accreditation, operations, philosophy, institutional mission, vision, and effectiveness.
The CCAF Policy Council meets annually and submits recommendations concerning academic policies, degree programs, award of credit, academic standards, affiliation of schools, and other policy matters to the CCAF Commandant for policy and concurrence.
Ensures the CCAF system is in full compliance of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges’ accreditation requirements.
