It addresses testimony, public or civic activities, indebtedness, gambling, outside employment, government property, dress, relationships, and workplace violence. It requires records generated by prescribed processes to follow Air Force records management and disposition requirements.
Applies to: It applies to United States Code (USC) Title 5 civilian employees, Title 10, Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System or Cyber Excepted Service employees, and Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service and Senior Leader employees of both the United States Air Force and the United States Space Force.
In the event of a conflict between this instruction and the DoD 5500.07-R, the guidance of the DoD 5500.07-R is controlling.
In collaboration with the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Human Capital (SF/S1), the Chief of Air Force Reserve (AF/RE) and the Director of the Air National Guard (NGB/CF), the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services (AF/A1) develops personnel policy for civilian conduct and responsibility.
Submit requests for waivers via DAF Form 679, Department of the Air Force Publication Compliance Item Waiver Request/Approval, through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the publication OPR for non-tiered compliance items.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air Force Instruction 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
