The publication addresses fire inspections, emergency and fire reporting, training, commercial and restaurant facilities, aircraft hangar clear space, and fire extinguishers. It also establishes procedures for Fire Safety Deficiency programs, space heater permits, and firefighting response and coordination.
Applies to: This instruction applies to all military, civilian and contract personnel assigned to the 914th Air Refueling Wing (914 ARW), all tenant units on Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station (NFARS) and any personnel on the installation on temporary duty.
Compliance with the attachments in this publication is mandatory.
Major changes include: added responsibilities for Fire Protection; establishing minimal requirements for training new employees and refresher training for all employees; updated procedures for commercial and/or restaurant facilities; updated emergency and fire reporting contact information; updated procedures for fire inspections; authentic standards; aircraft hangar clear space; fire extinguisher program; added procedures for the Fire Safety Deficiency (FSD) Program; and procedures to obtain a space heater permit.
