DAFI23-201 assigns fuels management roles across Air Force organizations and supporting agencies. It requires compliance with the publication and its attachments, establishes records and waiver processes, and addresses conflicting guidance.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air Force Instruction 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS).
Defense Logistics AgencyEnergy (DLA-E) establishes Defense Working Capital Fund (DWCF) record retention requirements in accordance with (IAW) DLA-E guidance.
Direct questions or recommended changes to this publication to the Air Force Petroleum Office (AFPET) via DAF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; AFPET will forward it to Headquarters Air Force/Logistics Readiness Division (AF/A4LR) for consideration.
Supplements to this publication are authorized at any level, but Major Command (MAJCOM), Field Command (FLDCOM), Field Operating Agency (FOA), and Direct Reporting Unit (DRU) supplements must be routed to AFPET for review and AF/A4LR for coordination before approval.
Fuels training waiver requests should be submitted to the Fuels Functional Manager at Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC).
