The publication covers runway incursion prevention, color vision testing, Controlled Movement Area training, escort procedures, and local airfield familiarization. It requires training documentation, practical check rides, AF Form 483 procedures, and quality control measures.
Applies to: This DAFI applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the United States Space Force, Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard organizations (to include contracted locations) that administer an airfield driving program.
Note: Required for all personnel that require access on or across taxiways, helipad, and aprons located in the CMA. (paragraph 1-6)

At a minimum, the trainee must demonstrate the ability to operate a vehicle to and from their designated work areas. (paragraph 7)
I am also fully aware that no vehicle or pedestrian shall enter a runway or other controlled movement area without approval from the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). (paragraph 1-7)
