DAFI11-412 covers the aircrew ecosystem, strategic communications, and aircrew manpower requirements. It requires documentation and reporting of training requirements and capacity methodologies and standardizes instructor and evaluator manpower authorizations.
Applies to: This instruction applies to Regular Air Force (RegAF), Space Force, Air Force Reserve (AFR), and Air National Guard (ANG) personnel, to include aircrew managers, commanders of flying units, and organizations with aircrew personnel.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed using the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
The authorities to waive wing or unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate tier waiver approval authority or alternately to the requestor’s commander for nontiered compliance items.
Added new requirements to document and report training requirements and training capacity methodologies.
Establish standardized manpower (requirements) for applying instructor (K-prefix) and evaluator (Q-prefix) to Unit Manning Document authorizations.
