DAFI10-2701 covers Civil Air Patrol roles, Air Force-assigned missions, liaison offices, logistics, financial support, and installation support. It requires compliance with prescribed procedures, standards, responsibilities, records management, and waiver processes.
Applies to: It applies to all uniformed members of the Regular Air Force (RegAF), the United States Space Force (USSF), the Air Force Reserve (AFR), the Air National Guard (ANG), and CAP.
CAP membership does not confer upon an individual the rights, privileges, prerogatives or benefits of military personnel.
The DAF establishes policy and guidance for CAP; provides advice, advocacy, assistance, and liaison to CAP; and monitors and oversees CAP and its activities.
Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of in accordance with Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS).
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the requestor’s commander for non-tiered compliance items.
