Applies to: This publication applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, the Air Force Reserve, the Air National Guard, the United States Space Force (USSF), and those with a contractual obligation to abide by the terms of DAF publications.
EMP events affect terrestrial, air, and space platforms and have the capability to significantly disrupt, degrade, and damage electronic technology, critical measurement, and critical infrastructure systems.
Changes include updating EMP Test Priority Lists (ETPL) from equipment, facility, aircraft lists to mission-centric lists.
The authorities to waive wing/unit-level requirements will be identified by tier number (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) following the compliance statement.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
