CFETP2R2X1 covers maintenance management, aerospace vehicle scheduling and documentation, maintenance information systems, and career progression. It identifies training courses and requirements for the 3-, 5-, and 7-skill levels, including task qualification, proficiency, and upgrade training.
Applies to: This CFETP provides information necessary for AFCFM, MAJCOM Functional Managers (MFMs), commanders, training managers, supervisors, and trainers to plan, develop, manage, and conduct an effective career field training program.
The plan is used by MFMs and supervisors at all levels to ensure comprehensive and cohesive training programs are available for everyone in the specialty. (paragraph 2)
Everyone will complete the mandatory training requirements specified in this plan. The lists of courses in Part II will be used as a reference to support training. (paragraph 2)
Members must be in upgrade training for a minimum of 12 months for upgrade to 5-level. (paragraph 4)
7-levels must be a SSgt, complete core task training, complete 7-level AFCDA DEVELOPED COURSE, and complete the 7-level resident course at Sheppard AFB Texas for upgrade to the Craftsman level. (paragraph 4)
The standard for written examinations is 70%. Standards for performance objectives are indicated in the objective and are also indicated on the individual progress checklist. (paragraph 2)
