CFETP1T2XX governs education, training, qualification, and career progression requirements for the Pararescue career field.

It contains skill-level requirements, training criteria, career-path information, course lists, and a Pararescue syllabus of instruction. It requires completion of mandatory training and identifies task, knowledge, education, and experience requirements.
Applies to: The plan will be used by MFMs and supervisors at all levels as a standardizing basis to ensure comprehensive and cohesive training programs are available for each individual in the specialty.
Supervisors use both parts of the plan to plan, manage, and control training within the career field. (paragraph 5)
Each individual will complete the mandatory training requirements specified in this plan. (paragraph 2)
IAW AFI 36-2201, the Pararescue CFM is the waiver approval authority for mandatory training, experience, and education listed in the official specialty description referenced in Air Force Enlisted Classification Directory (AFECD). (paragraph 4)
Upon graduation, all students will enter and must graduate the Pararescue Indoctrination Course before they can enter the follow-on Pararescue training pipeline (see figure 1 for the Pararescue training pipeline flow). (paragraph 5)
Qualification in and possession of AFSC 1T231. Also, experience performing Pararescue duties.
