It covers ATC specialty duties, skill and career progression, training decisions, specialty qualifications, STS documentation, wartime tasks, and available courses. It requires core tasks to be trained and task certification to record specified dates and initials.
Applies to: All 1C1 personnel, to include GS-2152 and 13M personnel, will follow this guide for upgrade training.
Task certification, as a minimum, must show Training Start Date (TSD) (if applicable), Training Completion Date (TCD), Trainee and Trainer Initials. (paragraph 2)
All core tasks must be trained, although tasks may not be immediately applicable to all bases. (paragraph 2)
Trainers will train and qualify personnel to the “Go” standard established in the appropriate certification guide. (paragraph 6)
“Go” means that the individual can perform the task without assistance, meets proficiency standards identified in Note 5 of the proficiency code key and local requirements for accuracy, timeliness, and correct use of procedures. (paragraph 6)
