It covers airborne SIGINT operations, occupational badges, foundational and language development, degree and certification programs, and competency-based training. It requires mandatory training completion, upgrade-progress documentation, and defined language enhancement and significant language training.
Applies to: This CFETP provides the information necessary for CFMs, MFMs, commanders, unit training managers, supervisors, and trainers to plan, develop, manage, and conduct an effective and efficient career field training program.
Individuals will complete the mandatory training requirements specified in this plan. (paragraph 2)
Personnel in AFSC 1A8XX are required to document upgrade training progress, at a minimum, via AF Form 623 IAW DAFMAN 36-2689. (paragraph 2)
For 1A8X1s, this badge is earned after completion, or bypass of, the Basic Language Course at DLI, Apprentice ACLA (non-target) course at Goodfellow AFB, and CEA Fundamentals Course, and will only be awarded after the last of these courses is completed (regardless of order). (paragraph 5)
Language enhancement requirements for MSgt and below are 12 hours per month.
SLTE hour requirements are defined as a minimum of 150 hours of enhancement training.
