Applies to: In addition to the Biologists/Physical Scientists, this CFETP can also be used to help guide the career path of other persons in all the series listed in Table 1 plus the Environmental Engineering Series (0819), the Architect (0808), and the Archeologist Series (0193).
Typically, there are two career paths Biologists/Physical Scientists can follow. (paragraph 1)
The functional leader/technical expert track emphasizes technical expertise, institutional memory, and functional depth within one’s technical field. (paragraph 1)
The enterprise leader track emphasizes depth and breadth of experience within and outside one’s functional field, to include cross-functional and Joint assignments. (paragraph 1)
