BARKSDALEAFBI32-7003 prescribes rules and procedures for permits, access, hunting areas, firearms, seasons, stands, blinds, fishing, boating, and outdoor recreation. It establishes requirements for hunters, anglers, boaters, guests, permits, safety, harvest reporting, and enforcement penalties.
Applies to: It applies to all persons entering BAFB for the purpose of hunting, fishing, using fish and wildlife habitats, or attempting to take fish and wildlife from BAFB grounds.
The BAFB Basic Hunting Permit and the BAFB Raccoon Hunting Endorsement must be obtained and in possession of each member of a raccoon hunting party. (paragraph 7)
Raccoon hunting is allowed from 1 August through 31 March only. (paragraph 7)
Raccoon hunting is legal only from sunset until sunrise using only one .22 caliber rimfire rifle per hunting party. (paragraph 7)
Alligator hunters will be selected through a random lottery drawing contained within the Rec Access system.
All hunters must purchase a $50 BAFB Alligator Permit.
