Register all pet animals with the VTF within 14 duty days of arrival or when acquiring pet. (paragraph 48-112)
Pets will be controlled on a leash (not to exceed 15 feet in length) or in a pet carrier when outside unless in an approved “dog run” area. (paragraph 48-112)
An owner will not abandon a pet upon departure from this base or under any other circumstances. (paragraph 48-112)
Employees, residents, and visitors will not feed stray or wild animals. (paragraph 48-112)
Personnel observing a domestic animal showing unusual or threatening behavior will notify the police who will take immediate steps to apprehend the animal and bring to the VTF for observation. (paragraph 48-112)
