ANGI36-8001 governs Air National Guard telework policy for Drill Status Guardsmen and Active Guard and Reserve personnel.

It defines telework and Alternative Duty Locations, sets approval roles, and addresses compensation, safety, agreements, and equipment. The accompanying guidance memorandum states that regular and recurring telework is not permitted and that compliance is mandatory.
Applies to: This instruction does not apply to Dual Status Technicians in civilian status and Title 5 civilians.
Telework, as a management tool, authorizes commanders or their appointed designees to allow members, to work in an official capacity for pay and/or points away from the official duty location. (paragraph 2)
The Adjutant General (TAG) or Commanding General (CG) is the approval authority for their respective state or territory. (paragraph 3)
The teleworker, supervisor and approval authority must sign a work agreement. (paragraph 7)
The teleworker must ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists. (paragraph 3)
Service Members assigned to a CONUS PDS (including AK, HI, and U.S. Territories) may not tele/remote work at an OCONUS location, nor may a Service Member assigned to an OCONUS location telework at a CONUS location. (paragraph 8)
