Can an SRRB be convened to accommodate individual financial gain or at a member’s request?

Under no circumstance will the convening of SRRBs be for the purpose of accommodating individual financial gain or at the request of the member.

Who appoints SRRB members and what do they recommend?

Board members will be appointed by TAG/CG to recommend the retention or nonretention of Federally recognized officers and enlisted members in the ANG of the respective State in accordance with (IAW) the policies and procedures provided in this instruction.

When are separations or transfers effective for members not selected for retention?

Separation from the ANG, Withdrawal of Federal recognition, and transfer to the Air Force Reserve for members not selected for retention will be effective no earlier than 1 October and no later than 31 December of the year in which the board considered the member for retention.

How much notice must AGR members selected for non-retention receive?

Note: AGR members selected for non-retention will be separated not less than 180 days from official notification by TAG/CG.
