When are the airfield lighting procedures for NVD training in effect?

The procedures listed in this attachment will be in effect from approximately one hour after sunset until airfield closure or upon termination of NVD training. (paragraph 3)

What call signs indicate NVD or white-light approaches?

C-17 aircraft operating under the “NOGS” call sign are assumed to be to conducting NVD approaches unless otherwise specified. C-17 aircraft operating under the “CADDO” or “TRIBE” call signs are assumed to be conducting a white-light approaches unless otherwise coordinated with Tower. (paragraph 3)

When can Tower deny a lighting configuration request?

Requests for lighting configurations made after initial call-up of that approach may be denied to maintain pattern spacing and safety. (paragraph 3)

When must NVD operations be suspended for a non-participating aircraft?

In the event Altus AFB is operating under single runway operations (18R/36L or 18L/36R NOTAM Closed) and a non-participating aircraft will land or depart Altus AFB, NVD operations shall be suspended. (paragraph 6)

What weather minima apply to NVD pattern operations?

NVD operations are governed by the same weather minima as non-NVD pattern operations. (paragraph 7)
