It describes medical personnel services spanning aerospace medicine, flight and operational programs, occupational health, and force health readiness. It establishes the Medical Squadron Commander’s reporting and administrative-control duties and assigns oversight and execution of the medical mission.
Applies to: This mission directive applies to individuals assigned to HQ AFRC.
Provides trained citizen airmen medical personnel to accomplish the full spectrum of Aerospace Medicine, Flight and Operational Program, Occupational Health, and Force Health Readiness services as prescribed in AFI 48-101, Aerospace Medicine Enterprise for AFRC populations and regular Air Force active associated personnel to ensure an individual’s medical requirements for deployment/contingency operations are met and current. (paragraph 1)
Reports to the Medical Group Commander or to the Wing Commander where a Medical. Group does not exist. (paragraph 2)
Exercises administrative control over assigned personnel. (paragraph 2)
Execute commander’s responsibilities as outlined in AFI 1-2, Commander’s. Responsibilities. (paragraph 3)
Provides oversight and execution of the medical mission. (paragraph 3)
