It defines the maintenance mission, command and control structure, oversight, and maintenance management expectations. It requires trained, qualified, and certified personnel, safe and serviceable aircraft and equipment, and oversight of maintenance actions.
Applies to: This mission directive applies to individuals assigned to HQ AFRC.
Provides command and control structure and oversight of citizen airman combat support ready forces to ensure maintenance is only performed by personnel who are trained, qualified, and certified. (paragraph 1)
Ensure standardization of maintenance discipline, procedures, organizational structures, compliance, and management philosophy. (paragraph 1)
Oversight of maintenance actions such as, but are not limited to, inspection, repair, and overhaul, modification, preservation, refurbishment, and troubleshooting, testing, analyzing condition and performance and maintenance documentation. (paragraph 1)
Provide oversight and execution of the maintenance mission. (paragraph 3)
