AFPAM36-2692 governs guidelines and expectations for NCO and SNCO induction ceremonies and Senior Enlisted Leader change of responsibility ceremonies.

It covers ceremony overviews, recommended sequences, scripts, certificates, charges, and stories of NCO and SNCO valor or heroism. It establishes minimum expectations while allowing installations to tailor ceremonies to their missions and local communities.
Applies to: It applies to the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and the Air National Guard.
When practical and feasible, installations will host NCO and SNCO Induction Ceremonies after the annual SSgt and MSgt public promotion releases. (paragraph 1)
Supplemental promotion releases will not require an additional induction ceremony. (paragraph 1)
Airman Leadership School graduations will not take the place of an NCO Induction Ceremony and vice versa. (paragraph 1)
Hazing or rite of passage-type rituals must never be associated with these ceremonies. (paragraph 2)
Command teams will have zero tolerance for any activities of this nature. (paragraph 2)
