AFMD32 describes AFLOA’s legal services, organizational command relationships, directorates, and field support centers. Compliance with the directive is mandatory.
AFLOA delivers superior legal services to support and defend the Air Force and its Airmen. (paragraph 1)
To accomplish this mission, AFLOA manages the military justice process, directs civil law matters, represents the Air Force in commercial litigation, administers the legal assistance and preventive law programs, trains all members of The Judge Advocate General’s Corps (AFJAGC), and provides AFJAGC with effective legal technology solutions. (paragraph 1)
The AFLOA Commander organizes, trains, and equips AFLOA personnel with appropriate resources and infrastructure to accomplish the AFLOA mission herein (and as directed) and prepares deployable personnel and assets to support operations worldwide. (paragraph 2)
The United States Air Force Judiciary Directorate (AFLOA/JAJ) is responsible for managing the military justice system across the Air Force. (paragraph 3)
The Civil Law and Litigation Directorate (AFLOA/JAC) specializes in three litigation areas: claims and tort law, environmental law, and general law. (paragraph 3)
