AFMCMD411 defines AFLCMC’s aerospace, cyberspace, command and control, communications, and weapons mission. It sets command relationships and requires workforce qualification, acquisition support, capability development, life cycle coordination, and international mission oversight.
Applies to: This mission directive applies to AFMC Regular Air Force, AFMC civilian employees, and those with a contractual obligation to abide by the terms of its issuance.
Develop, acquire, modernize, integrate, and support affordable and sustainable advanced aerospace, cyberspace, command, control and communications, and weapons capabilities to our warfighters (AF, joint service, allied and coalition partners) and fulfill the priorities of the Secretary of the Air Force (SECAF), Chief of Staff of the AF (CSAF), AF Materiel Command (AFMC) Commander (CC), and the Service Acquisition Executive. The AFLCMC Commander is responsible to the Commander, AFMC. (paragraph 2)
Ensure acquisition workforce qualification requirements are fulfilled IAW statutes and AF/Department of Defense (DoD) policy. (paragraph 3)
Provide responsive acquisition support to combatant commanders’ (COCOM) operational needs. (paragraph 3)
Jointly leads the AF Capability Development process to support early planning, analysis, and system engineering activities that inform materiel development decisions. (paragraph 3)
