AFMCMAN21-102 details the delivery, receipt, evaluation, documentation, requests, storage, and control of contractor engineering data. It requires data reviews, records of deficiencies and delivery dates, authorization controls, and protection from damage or deterioration.
Applies to: This manual applies to all AFMC aforementioned offices and centers that use, analyze, evaluate, maintain, modify, purchase, or store engineering data elements, configuration management, and is limited to only that information necessary to accomplish engineering data storage, distribution, and control within AFMC.
AFMC Form 176, Engineering Data Inspection and Processing Record, or locally developed automated computer based system, is used to document receipt and review of contractor engineering data deliveries. (paragraph 3)
Revalidation of authorization listings and system access must be accomplished at least annually. (paragraph 3)
Drawing changes shall only be accomplished when authorized by the appropriate configuration management authority through issuance of an engineering order per the criteria of AFMCI 21-401. (paragraph 3)
