It establishes policies for outpatient and ambulatory medical record reports, assembly, data, accuracy, internal consistency, and documentation correlation. It addresses eligibility verification, patient quarters, medical record disclosures, law enforcement requests, and release of healthcare information.
Applies to: This supplement applies to all personnel assigned, attached, or on contract to the 59th Medical Wing (59 MDW), to include the 959th Medical Group (959 MDG) and possibly when care is rendered at the 59 MDW.
Requests for waivers must be submitted to the OPR listed above for consideration and approval.
An agent of the OSI, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Investigative Services, Police Department or other law enforcement agencies may have access to health records upon presentation of their proper identification and a written request. (paragraph 6)
Release of Healthcare Information (RHI) receives and reviews all incoming requests and authorizations for release of medical information or records, and releases only the minimum necessary information. (paragraph 6)
Claims regarding accidental injuries (e.g., motor vehicle accidents), in which DoD beneficiary is involved and a third party may be liable for the cost of medical care for the beneficiary, will be referred to the TPL Section for their review and action. (paragraph 6)
