It covers general criteria for establishing TAAs, liability and indemnification, processing, legal review, and approval. It also addresses waiver requests and responsibilities for LAF aligned medical units.
Applies to: It applies to all AF units and uniformed members and employees in the Regular AF, the AF Reserve, and the Air National Guard (ANG) with one exception: it does not apply to the AF Institute of Technology.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the Publication Office of Primary Responsibility for non-tiered compliance items.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility using the DAF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route DAF Forms 847 from the field through the appropriate functional chain of command.
