The publication addresses integrated physical fitness training, fitness assessments, graduation requirements, and physical training schedules. It requires commanders and training personnel to execute fitness programs and enforce specified standards for trainees and students.
Applies to: This supplement applies to the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve (AFR), Air National Guard (ANG), and Department of the Air Force (DAF) civilians permanently or temporarily assigned to the Second Air Force (2 AF).
Commanders at all levels will develop and execute an integrated physical fitness training plan that ensures PT is conducted every duty day for 2 AF permanent party, students, and trainees that promotes a culture of physical fitness and warfighter readiness.
Commanders will ensure all BMT trainees and TT students adhere to physical fitness requirements and ensure accountability for those not achieving/maintaining fitness standards.
Military Training Instructors, Military Training Leaders, and PFLs will be present during BMT, TT Non-Prior Service (NPS), and Enlisted Airman Orientation Course (EAOC)/TT Prior Service (PS) PT sessions, respectively, to ensure compliance with the commander’s integrated physical fitness training plan and to facilitate medical responses as needed.
Trainees must successfully complete the last physical fitness assessment (PFA) prior to BMT graduation.
PT at BMT will be conducted at least six (6) days per week.
