AFMAN32-1068 covers fuel conversion, solid and liquid fuels, heating and distribution systems, boilers, hot water generators, and unfired pressure vessels. It includes requirements for carbon monoxide measurements, tune-ups, fuel reporting, and corrective actions.
Applies to: It applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard, except where noted otherwise.
Measure the concentrations in the effluent stream of carbon monoxide in parts per million, by volume, and oxygen in volume percent, before and after the adjustments are made. (paragraph 6)
If the unit is not operating on the required date for a tune-up, the tune-up shall be conducted within 30 days of startup. (paragraph 8)
The type and amount of fuel used over the 12 months prior to the tune-up of the boiler. (paragraph 7)
