The publication addresses power systems, individual Real Property Installed Equipment, and Equipment Authorized Inventory Data generators. It establishes requirements for generator authorizations, designs, classifications, maintenance oversight, inventory data, and microgrid documentation.
Compliance with this memorandum and its attachments is mandatory.
Should an installation commander recommend the development of a DAF-owned primary power generation system, the installation commander must obtain a waiver prior to project development from the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Infrastructure, Energy, and Environment (SAF/IEE).
As the Responsible Official, be the approving authority for deviations from manufacturer service intervals and ensure compliance with all applicable air quality permits.
Ensure all records generated because of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which can be referenced in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
