The publication addresses explosive-hazard material, off-station munitions transportation, range turn-in, safing gear, shipment documentation, and transport equipment. It also sets requirements for records, reconciliation, custody, and notification of AF Form 68 signatories.
Applies to: These procedures apply to anyone engaged in any form of munitions activity and assigned to the 27th Special Operations Wing.
All MPPEH will be treated as containing the original Net Explosive Weight and hazards until inspected by the competent authority.
Operational units organically transporting munitions off-station or transporting via line-haul, WILL maintain chain of custody unless proper disposal and reconciliation of munitions residue is coordinated by the Munitions Flight with the host installation prior to departure.
Range personnel will coordinate/schedule turn in of MPPEH at least quarterly.
All non-expendable safing gear and/or devices such as remove before flight tags or umbilical caps will be annotated on the AF Form 2434, Munitions Configuration and Expenditure Document.
The requesting organization is responsible for accomplishing the applicable AMC Form 1033, Shipper’s Declaration for Hazardous Goods, and other documentation required for shipment.
