It assigns responsibilities for Air Force ISR strategy, policy, resources, oversight, and integrated capabilities. It addresses GEOINT, HUMINT, multiple domains, intelligence oversight, operations security, and compliance requirements.
Provisions of this publication do not apply to persons who conduct law enforcement and/or counterintelligence activities. (paragraph 1)
All Airmen involved in the conduct of ISR activities also comply with AFI 14-404, Intelligence Oversight and AFI 10-701, Operations Security, in the execution of mission and duties. (paragraph 1)

Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations (AF/A2/6) leads the development of ISR strategy, guidance, standards, concepts of operations and continuity of operations to ensure all collection and intelligence capabilities and disciplines are integrated and interoperable.
