The publication addresses airfield operations, contingency and overseas locations, waivers, maintenance principles, and airfield operations policy or procedures. It contains AETC-specific guidance and command requirements for the training mission, including routing, records, and waiver processes.
Applies to: It applies to all Air Education and Training Command (AETC) units who manage airfield operations.
Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with (IAW) AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Information Management System Records Disposition Schedule.
The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate waiver approval authority, through the publication OPR.
Prior to initiating a T-2 or higher waiver request requiring headquarters or higher coordination contact AETC Airfield Operations points of contact to discuss staffing actions required.
