It addresses airfield operations compliance verification inspections, air traffic control and airspace facility closures, and uncontrolled airfield operations for AMC aircraft. It also establishes tier waiver authorities and requirements for supplements and records.
Applies to: This publication applies to all AMC Regular Air Force.
Major changes include changing the publication from an Air Force Manual (AFMAN) to DAFMAN, added Airfield Operations Compliance Verification inspection procedures, adjusted Air Traffic Control (ATC)/Airspace facility closure requirements, allowing the Wing Commander (WG/CC) to approve uncontrolled airfield operations for AMC aircraft, and updated tier waiver authorities.
All supplements to this publication must be routed to the OPR and HQ AFFSA for coordination before approval.
The authorities that may waive wing- and unit-level requirements in this publication are identified by a tier number (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) following the compliance statement.
Submit waiver requests through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority or to the Publication OPR for non-tiered compliance items.
