How must B-2 evaluations be conducted?

All evaluations will be conducted IAW the provisions of AFI 11-202V2 and this manual. (T-1). (paragraph 11-2)

Can engine or system losses be simulated during emergency procedures?

Loss of engines/systems should not be simulated during actual emergency procedures. (paragraph 11-2)

When can pilots take credit for an engine loss event?

Pilots may take credit for this event if in flight loss of engine(s)/engine thrust occur and approaches are flown to a full stop. (paragraph 11-2)

What can substitute for PAR or ILS when neither is available?

If a Precision Approach Radar (PAR) or an Instrument Landing System (ILS) is not available then Simulated Instrument Landing System (SILS) may be substituted. (paragraph 3)

What must a pilot do during mission preparation for a qualified evaluation?

Developed a sound plan to accomplish the mission. Accurately and efficiently accomplished mission preparation. Checked all factors applicable to flight in accordance with applicable directives. Aware of alternatives available, if flight could not be completed as planned. Read and initialed for all items in the Flight Crew Information File (FCIF)/Read Files. (paragraph 4)
