The publication addresses aircrew evaluations, qualification records, Stan/Eval software, mandatory programs, waiver guidance, and AF Form 8 routing procedures. It also establishes requirements for supplements, records, evaluation objectivity, and requalification procedures.
Applies to: It is applicable to all units assigned to or gained by major commands (MAJCOMs) and applies to commanders, operations supervisors and aircrew personnel assigned or attached to all flying activities of these commands.
MAJCOMs, field operating agencies (FOAs) and Headquarters Air Force (HAF) direct reporting units (DRUs) will supplement this manual.
The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
For specific evaluation criteria for qualification on a particular mobility mission design series (MDS) or aircrew specialty, see the appropriate AFMAN 11-2MDS Vol 2.
Major changes include revised waiver guidance, updated pyramid evaluation procedures, added approved Stan/Eval software guidance, updated mandatory Stan/Eval programs, updated AF Form 8 routing procedures and added guidance for flight examiner objectivity evaluations. (paragraph 2)
