It establishes the Aircrew Standardization/Evaluation Program and provides guidance for structuring and monitoring it. The manual addresses mission and instructor qualification evaluations, qualification levels, remedial training, and examiner procedures.
Applies to: It is applicable to all units assigned to or gained by major commands (MAJCOMs) and applies to commanders, operations supervisors and aircrew personnel assigned or attached to all flying activities of these commands.
The qualification level, as annotated in Section II (Evaluation Information) Block 8 on the AF Form 8, will be either Q1, Q2 or Q3 and will not be modified. (paragraph 3)
The aircrew member demonstrated desired performance and knowledge of procedures, equipment and directives within tolerances specified in the criteria. (paragraph 3)
The aircrew member demonstrated the ability to perform duties safely; however, additional training is required for a discrepancy that cannot be remedied during the evaluation or the debrief, see paragraph 13.1. (paragraph 3)
To assess an aircrew member's ability to employ the assigned aircraft/weapons system in accomplishing the unit’s operational mission(s), or as specified by the MAJCOM. (paragraph 9)
The MSN qualification requirement is not required for aircrew who only maintain Basic Aircraft Qualification IAW AFMAN 11-2MDS V2 or whose primary duty assignment is unrelated to a flying unit’s assigned mission such as Air Mobility Liaison Officers (AMLO), HAF Staff, HHQ Staff, etc. (paragraph 9)
