AFMAN10-3511 covers command and control, mission planning, crew rest and duty limitations, mission reports, and operator combat skills. It includes guidance on environmental considerations, roped rescue, confined space and structural collapse, snow and avalanche operations, equipment, parachuting, and maintenance.
Applies to: It establishes policy for Pararescue and applies to individuals at all levels in the Regular Air Force, the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard (ANG), except where noted otherwise (for the purpose of this manual, the ANG is considered a Major Command (MAJCOM)).
Operators temporarily or permanently assigned to a chartered test organization may deviate from the contents of this manual as outlined in individually approved test plans required for test and evaluation purposes.
The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
Send approved T-2 and T-3 waivers to AF/A3S (with the Lead MAJCOM OPR as an informational addressee) within three duty days for tracking and process improvement.
