The publication addresses C2 elements, training and certification programs, command post checklists, required systems, and reporting. It requires qualified trainers, mission-specific IQT and MQT programs, maintained checklist sets, and specified console capabilities.
Applies to: This guidance applies to AMC individuals at all levels, including Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard (ANG) personnel when performing duties in an AMC Installation Command Post, in the 618 AOC, in the AMC Command Center, or in support of AMC or US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) missions.
AMC Consolidated CPs will have two qualified trainers.
Qualified trainers must meet all additional requirements as outlined in paragraph 7.17.3 and DAFMAN 36-2689, paragraph 5.2.7.17 (T-2).
Units may utilize electronic Quick Reaction Checklists and Controller Basic Checklists, as long as one paper set is maintained.
The Quick Reaction Checklist (QRC) binder will include duty phone numbers for all agencies to assist controllers in the event of a console communication failure (T-3).
AMC Consoles will have the following required systems and capabilities: GDSS, Cable/Satellite TV, Closed Circuit Flight Line video, and GETS account (for stateside locations).
