It covers logistics, weapons, radios, cyber, Aircrew Flight Equipment, dive operations, vehicle operations and maintenance, and resource management. It requires qualification to the GO/NO GO standard for applicable tasks and documents training in accordance with DAFMAN 36-2689.
Applies to: This document applies to the Total Force but may be supplemented to capture unique requirements not common across the Total Force, such as unique MAJCOM/Wg/Gp/Sq specific processes.
All personnel will be qualified to the GO/NO GO standard for all applicable tasks. (paragraph 2)
"GO" signifies that the individual can perform the task without assistance, using appropriate instructions or other guidance. (paragraph 2)
For any duties or tasks not listed in this JQS, supervisors will use DAF Form 797, Job Qualification Standard Continuation/Command JQS, to develop a training plan. (paragraph 3)
Document training required by this AFJQS in accordance with DAFMAN 36-2689, Training Program. (paragraph 4)
Due to unique organizational and structural differences within some units, some tasks may not apply and a Command JQS may be more appropriate. Units may ignore tasks that are not applicable e.g., Aircrew Flight Equipment tasks within Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) units. (paragraph 5)
