AFI91-207_USAFASUP covers government-owned and non-government vehicles, operator distractions, driving time, passenger protection, motorcycle and ATV safety, and pedestrian and bicycle safety. It also addresses traffic safety training, waiver authorities, records management, and routing recommended changes through the Office of Primary Responsibility.
Applies to: This instruction applies to all United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) personnel.
The Traffic Safety Program’s goal is to prevent or reduce the frequency and severity of vehicular mishaps involving Air Force (AF) and Air National Guard (ANG) personnel, equipment and operations.
The authorities to waive wing/unit-level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3) number following the compliance statement.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier/Waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the Air Force Chief of Occupational Safety (AFSEC/SEG) for non-tiered compliance items.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) using the AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route AF Form 847 from the field through the appropriate functional chain of command.
