When must contract documents be coordinated through 96 TW/SE?

The requirements for coordination of documents are: if contractor will be working or residing on Eglin AFB or Eglin property; if contractor will be working on government equipment; and if contractor operations could impact the safety and health of government personnel/property or the public.

What information must be sent to 96 TW/SEG for product safety review?

E-mail the following items to 96 TW/SEG 96TW.SEG.OccupationalSafety@us.af.mil for review: (1) details of the item to be purchased; (2) manufacturer’s specifications of the item to be purchased and (3) how the item will be used by personnel.

What must units do when they lack a qualified weapons safety manager?

Units requiring a weapons safety program which lacks a local full-time and fully qualified weapons safety manager or equivalent will send a memorandum of appointment for primary and alternate Additional Duty Weapons Safety Representatives (ADWSR) to 96TW/SEW; see Attachment 21 for an example.

When must contractor weapons operations representatives attend specialized training?

Commanders will direct 96 TW unit Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) that are required to monitor performance of contractor weapons operations of any kind (explosives, DEW, etc.) to attend specialized training by 96 TW/SEW no later than 90 days from initial assignment of COR responsibilities.
