It covers APF authorizations for Child Development Centers, School Age Care, contracted services, and related training and food costs. It also addresses lodging fund management, single fund sources, and costs incorporated into Air Force lodging rates.
Applies to: This publication applies to all organizations and individuals at all levels of the Air Force who review, approve, or use APFs to support MWR and other NAFIs, including the Regular Air Force, the Air Force Reserve, the Air National Guard, and the Civil Air Patrol.
The USDA Food and Nutrition Service should be used as a primary funding source where available for bases eligible to participate in the USDA Food and Nutrition Service programs. (paragraph 5)
NAF employees may attend APF training where no additional or incremental APF costs are incurred. (paragraph 6)
APFs are authorized for training course costs for NAF personnel providing child care services under a memorandum of agreement pursuant to 10 U.S.C. § 2492. (paragraph 6)
APFs are only authorized for the full-day summer camp coordinator. (paragraph 9)
APFs are not authorized for entry into amusement parks or water parks.
