When must potentially hazardous EMF equipment be evaluated?

Potentially hazardous EMF radiation producing equipment, not covered by Safety Review Board process, must be evaluated for potential hazards prior to use. (paragraph 4)

How far in advance must users request an EMF hazard evaluation?

To ensure the hazard evaluation is completed in a timely manner, users must submit a written request for evaluation to the IRSO at least 30 days before the expected date of equipment use. (paragraph 4)

What training must be provided to EMF workers?

Provide initial and annual EMF safety training to workers.

How long must EMF training records be retained?

Training records must be retained for at least 3 years and must document subjects covered and dates training was provided. (paragraph 4)

When must the workplace EMF systems inventory be updated and reported?

Update the workplace EMF systems inventory as changes occur, and submit an annual summary to the IRSO by 1 October of each year.
