Applies to: This publication applies to the Regular Air Force (RegAF), the Air Force Reserve (AFR), and the Air National Guard (ANG) when the HPOs are on Title 10 orders for a period of one year or more.
Officers may request an effective date no earlier than the first day of the month in which the contract is signed.
Officers may digitally sign contracts up to 90 days before the requested effective date.
Officers must be eligible for pay on the requested effective date.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication adhere to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the AF Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the AF Records Information Management System.
